A cookbook haul

We recently came across a handful of cookbooks, and they are too cute not to share!

I made a bookdepository order for a course I am taking, and I took advantage to also order a cookbook I’ve heard only good things about : The Happy Pear. Their recipes do require a little bit of special grocery shopping for some not-so-common ingredients (at least where I live), but they seem easy to prepare. Also, they look yummy!

Tokyo cult recipes, on the other hand, was discovered by S. while we were admiring the shelves at a Waterstones in London. He immediately fell in love with the book, and so did I after I saw a perfectly simple recipe for a matcha cake…YUM! I’m saving that one for a lazy Sunday.

S.’s sister surprised me with two (TWO! isn’t she amazing?!) cooking books which are perfect for my avocado obsession and my baking passion.Β β™₯ The goodness of avocado will be used frantically and frequently, and I have a feeling that Bake to impress will come in handy to find pick-me-up recipes this autumn and winter!

Do you have any favorite cookbooks or have you recently stumbled upon any interesting ones I should check out? I can’t wait to have a proper cookbooks shelf in the kitchen once our apartment is finished!
